The Confucio Institute<\/span><\/h3>\n

Confucius Institutes are non-profit educational institutions established through an international collaboration between a host university and a Chinese university. Their purpose is to promote the spread of the Chinese language, deepen knowledge of Chinese culture abroad, and promote cultural exchanges with China.<\/p>\n

The Confucius Institute of the University of Turin was founded in 2008 by the University of Turin and East China Normal University in Shanghai. It offers Chinese language courses at all levels, for children and adults, aimed at achieving the international Chinese language certifications HSK (Chinese Proficiency), HSKK (HSK Speaking Test), YCT (Youth Chinese), and BCT (Business Chinese), through on-site exams.<\/p>\n

Language teaching is complemented by intense and varied cultural activities to spread knowledge of the Chinese world: from conferences dedicated to various aspects of Chinese culture, society, current events, and history, to concerts of classical and contemporary Chinese music, performances, exhibitions, and meetings with Chinese writers.<\/p>\n

The Institute is dedicated to promoting the teaching of Chinese language and culture in schools of all levels, from preschool and elementary school to university, and conducts orientation and training activities in Italy and China for Chinese teachers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Chinese in Piedmont<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Confucius Institute's statutory objectives include the dissemination of Chinese language and culture. Since its founding, it has collaborated with Piedmontese educational institutions to promote Chinese language and culture in the region, offering support for the launch of courses and the search and selection of qualified Italian and native-speaking teachers.<\/p>\n

For Chinese language courses, the Confucius Institute promotes an educational project that involves collaboration between Italian teachers and native-speaking Chinese speakers. To this end, the Institute selects and offers training and refresher courses to qualified Italian teachers in Chinese teaching. At the same time, it provides schools with native-speaking Chinese speakers specialized in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. These native-speaking Chinese speakers work at its headquarters and are trained by its partner university, East China Normal University.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
