THE PASCAL INSTITUTE

The Pascal Institute, founded in 1976, is a private educational organization located in Chieri, a picturesque town near Turin. It comprises three schools that together offer a complete educational pathway for students aged six to nineteen.
Pascal High School shares its facilities with the Holden International Middle School inside the historic San Filippo convent, originally built as the seat of the Congregation of the Oratory, founded by Saint Philip Neri.

In 2023, Pascal High School and Holden International Middle School expanded their educational offering with Daisy Primary School, inspired by the Finnish educational model.

Daisy, Holden, and Pascal work alongside the Pascal Cultural Center, a non-profit organization that promotes international art events and concerts in the Chieri area as part of the Shared School project.

About Us

Pascal High School and Holden International Middle School

At Holden International Middle School and Pascal High Schools, we offer and promote meaningful learning. We adopted teaching methods inspired by the Finnish model and experiential learning techniques (Learning by Doing) that allow students to immediately test the skills they acquire in real-life contexts.
We firmly believe in the uniqueness of each student, which must be valued alongside their full inclusion in the community, as this combination fosters greater creativity.
A colorful and welcoming environment encourages learning.

TOWARDS INNOVATIVE TEACHING

A BIT OF HISTORY

For years, Daisy Primary School, Holden International Middle School, and Pascal High Schools have carried forward a comprehensive international educational project in the historic center of Chieri.
They are housed in the San Filippo convent, built in the 17th century, adjacent to the imposing church overlooking Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Chieri’s main street. The convent was the seat of the Philippine Order until 1829, when it became the third major seminary of the Diocese of Turin.
Two of Piedmont’s most important social saints studied and were formed here: Saint Joseph Cafasso and Saint John Bosco. Later, the building became a public middle school and then a private (paritaria) school. Within these ancient and splendid corridors and staircases, our students learn to blend ancient values with modernity.

WE GIVE SPACE TO OUR STUDENTS

We have always prioritized a limited number of students per class in order to provide each student with the utmost attention and ensure excellent academic performance.

  • Large classrooms, over 60 square meters
  • Maximum 18 students per class

Thanks to a substantial number of school staff, we provide constant supervision during critical moments such as arrival, dismissal, and recess, thus preventing any risks of overcrowding.
