Welfare Group

Welfare Group

Our trainer shares a personal experience from his studies in the UK: he recalls a time when he had to face the same homework assignments every day.
Each time, the teacher meticulously checked to ensure all students had completed their assignments. However, what was most striking was the teacher’s lack of interest in seeing them improve, an approach that ultimately stifled his motivation.
This memory serves as a lesson for all of us about the importance of an education that encourages rather than coerces, so that every student can flourish and develop their potential.

What is the Welfare Group?

The Welfare Group is a multidisciplinary team that works within schools to ensure the well-being and inclusion of all students. Made up of various professionals, including the Principal (school leader), nurses, doctors, pedagogues, and teachers, the group plays a crucial role in identifying and addressing problems that may arise within the classroom or with an individual student.

When a Welfare Group member notices a problem, whether related to a student’s learning, behavior, or emotional well-being, the entire group meets to discuss and plan how to address the situation. This collaborative approach allows for the development of personalized strategies and solutions, ensuring that each student receives the support they need.

Furthermore, the Welfare Group not only addresses school-related issues but also extends its reach to situations affecting students’ home lives. If there are difficulties at home that may affect a student’s performance or psychological well-being, the group works to identify the resources and services needed to address these issues, keeping the student’s best interests and well-being at the forefront.

In summary, the Welfare Group is an important organization that promotes a healthy and supportive school environment, committed to finding effective and timely solutions for each individual student and their family.
