DIARIO FINLANDIA

🌧️❄️ We're in Helsinki and about to start our training! As the rain beats against the windows and the temperatures drop, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for distracting ourselves from the rain.
📚 While waiting to start work, we're having fun with lots of board games, including the engaging "Beagle Boys," a thrilling challenge for kids (and adults)! 🎲🤗
Here, the spaces are filled with games: cards, dice, and many other entertainment options for the whole family. No one gets bored or turns to their phones; true connection happens around a game table, while laughter and joy fill the air.
✨ Join us for a trip to Helsinki, where training commitments and the magic of board games make every moment special! #HelsinkiWinter #BoardGames #training

Today we started our first day of training in Helsinki, and we're so happy! 🌟
🔖The welcome meeting was held at Opus 2 (Hitsaajankatu 20).
🕔 Petri Ilmonen's presentation was very interesting! He began by illustrating how Finland, with its school system, addresses the challenges of education. But first, he taught us a few words of Finnish!
🍽️ The evening concluded with a welcome dinner, where we were able to chat and get to know each other better with colleagues from different backgrounds.
📅 And tomorrow we'll move to Opus 3 to work together with colleagues from Australia, Austria, Germany, Sweden, and other Italian colleagues. We're ready to exchange ideas and learn from each other!
We can't wait to continue this training journey! 💼✨ #Training #Helsinki #FinnishSchools #Education

Our trainer shares a personal experience from his studies in the UK: he recalls a time when he had to face the same homework assignments every day.
Each time, the teacher meticulously checked to make sure all the students had completed their assignments.
However, what was most striking was the teacher's lack of interest in seeing them improve, an approach that ultimately stifled his motivation.
This memory serves as a lesson for all of us on the importance of an education that encourages rather than coerces, so that every student can flourish and develop their potential.

🌟 The third day of training in Finland on POSITIVE EDUCATION begins! 🇫🇮 Today, Annika welcomes us with a slide full of words expressing feelings like humor, kindness, and love. 💖
She invites us to choose two words from the board that describe the start of our day. This practice, used in schools, reminds us of the importance of sharing positive emotions and creating a welcoming learning environment.
Annika will share a fascinating topic with us: the impact that the principles of POSITIVE EDUCATION have not only on students, but also on teachers and colleagues. When even just one teacher begins implementing these practices, a contagious effect is triggered!
We expect our colleagues to question themselves about what positive things are happening in the classroom, creating an atmosphere of sharing and mutual support. It's the power of positivity that can transform not only the school environment, but also the relationships between colleagues.
Stay tuned for further updates and new discoveries on our learning journey! 📚✨ #PositiveEducation #Training #Finland

🚀 Fourth Day of Training in Finland! 🇫🇮
We are thrilled to be at Havukoski Koulo School, where Principal Arto Martikainen welcomed us and explained the extraordinary reality of this institution! 🏫✨
🔍 Here are some interesting facts:
- 450 students in grades 6-9.
- The school underwent an architectural renovation between 2018 and 2019, creating new common spaces that foster learning.
- A large auditorium with a capacity of 300 people, ideal for events and group activities.
- Innovative interconnected spaces designed for flexible learning, encouraging collaboration and creativity.
Furthermore, it's amazing to know that 36 different languages are spoken here, and 44% of students have Finnish as a second language! 🌏🗣️
We're ready for a day full of learning and discovery! 💡 #HavukoskiKoulo #FinnishEducation #FlexibleLearning #MultilingualCulture
Today, on the fourth day of training in Finland, we're at Havukoski Koulo School, led by Principal Arto Martikainen. The day began in a new flexible classroom, an innovative environment divided by a movable partition that fosters creativity. While Principal Arto was illustrating the innovative teaching methods, a moment of spontaneity caught our attention: a child's voice, with a warm "Merry Christmas" in Finnish, brightened the atmosphere, bringing contagious smiles to all of us and reminding us of the importance of the school community.
Continuing our training, Principal Arto guided us into the carpentry and mechanics workshop, where students have the opportunity to work independently. Here, their skills come to life as they use the lathe, screwdrivers, grinder, and bandsaw. These young people demonstrate remarkable responsibility, carefully wearing safety glasses and gloves while repairing stools and chairs. This demonstrates not only their technical skills but also a strong sense of independence and respect for safety.
This fourth day was full of learning and special moments that will surely remain in our hearts. It's also fascinating to observe the sharing and reflections of our international group of teachers, made up of colleagues from Greece, Australia, two groups from Italy, one from Iceland, and another from Australia. 💡✂️🛠️
